The Associated Press
FORT WORTH, Texas March 7

A nurse's aide hit a homeless man with her car, drove home with him stuck headfirst in her broken windshield, and ignored his cries for help as he bled to death in her garage over the next two or three days, police say.

Chante Mallard allegedly told police she periodically went into the garage, apologizing to him but doing nothing to help.

Finnish Twins Killed in Identical Road Accidents

Double Tragedy
Twins Killed in Freak Accidents on Same Road

H E L S I N K I, Finland, March 6 — Finnish twin brothers, aged 71, were killed in identical bicycle accidents along the same road two hours apart, police said today.
"This is simply a historic coincidence. Although the road is a busy one, accidents don't occur every day," police officer Marja-Leena Huhtala told Reuters.
"It made my hair stand on end when I heard the two were brothers, and identical twins at that. It came to mind that perhaps someone from upstairs had a say in this," she said.

Mike Myers to Wear 'Cat' Hat

By Michael Fleming

NEW YORK (Variety) - In a happy ending suitable for a Dr. Seuss book, Mike Myers is set to play the stovetop hat-wearing title character in "The Cat in the Hat," a live-action version of the Seuss classic.

The deal puts Myers back in business with the film's producer, Universal-based Imagine Entertainment, for the first time since the acrimonious collapse of "Dieter," a comedy based on a Myers character creation that resulted in a lawsuit and settlement.
