It is that time of the year. ... Linda Graff suggested that the classes might enjoy looking at some old pictures of our Prom seasons. ... I only have the one picture of my prom, it was in a pile of things my mom kept, along with my annual. ... I am glad she kept it.
The image to the right links to a slightly larger image. The names under the image link to our little data collection of Yearbook pics.
Here is an excerpt from Lindas letter.

The Fallbrook High School class of 1967 had their Fortieth Reunion over the past weekend at several venues around Fallbrook.
In this small video, I was told to ask Bill about his crushes. ... I asked, and then we went on a little memory tour with Bill, Donna, and Bill.
The reunion started Friday evening with an informal get together at Janet Stiles parents home in Fallbrook. I was surprised to meet Dr. Miller and his wife there. Dr. Miller is the Veteranarian that saved my dogs life when I was a child.
Then Saturday, there was a Picnic in the park (Live Oak Park), followed by dinner at The Brothers Bistro in the new downtownn of Fallbrook.
All the still images from the reunion will be collected here. Fallbrook1967's Photo Gallery

This is a little video that Kermit Harrison, and I made on Sunday the 10th of June 2007.
We made the video to give the classes that are coming to their reunions this summer, a chance to see how the town has changed a little. And, to give people things to talk about online before they get to the reunion.
One of the strengths of the ClassAnnual websites is the integrated email list. What happens with the list is that people communicate with each other, and they do not have to look up some website, just to see whether anyone has sent them a message. They will get the message in their email.

Birger Høg, and his daughter, Signe, visited a couple of old friends in Southern California recently. ... Bill Loskota forwarded these images, and Birger's letter. ... It is always nice when good friends keep connections over many years. ... The image links to 4 larger images and Birger's letter, which is also included in this posting. Jack
Fallbrook - Class of '64 :
Dear Val and Bill
I want to express Signes and my appreciation of our time with you in LA. Having us staying at your house and you showing us around were really great for us. Having such an opportunity when travelling adds very much for me.
The rest of our trip went along fine. We met with Wilma Violet and Mark in Fallbrook. She is getting older, she physically has a hard time getting around, but she is rather alert in her mind. She remembered very well Signe from her visiting us in Copenhagen about 20 years ago.
We met shortly with Bobbi, who together with her daughters was busy with a babyshower, and had lunch with Doug and his son-in law. The son-in-law came out to California from Kansas to marry and settle a few years ago. Talking to him made me realize that you have at least the same differences within the US, as we have within Europe. As with you, Doug was very 'recognizable' from the old days. His way of speaking and and his 'body-language' was very much unaltered. Driving up through the desert and Death Valley was a remarkable experience. We stopped in Bishop and met with Caddy Jackson and his wife. As he put it he is now living further out in the sticks, than when he grew up in Fallbrook. I think he was content.
You were right. You did help us, when booking a room for us at Yosemity. It was rather crowded. Wonder how is is, when the kids are out of school. It is splendid place. We walked and biked quite a lot at my speed.
Again thank you so very much for your hospitality. It was good to meet you.
Best wishes, Birger"

Good morning. ...
Last night I went to a Halloween party at Mike Hire's house. It was a lot of fun. Mike has a great love for the Halloween experience. He has a fun house in his garage with skeletons witches, and dragons. The garage is a maze with nooks and crannies of freaky things. He has enlarged the garage in multiple dimensions with the use of mirrors that makes some people question whether or not he has dug a hole in his garage floor.
I will link some images to this posting tomorrow. ... But for now, here is my costume. Jack

This woman is incredible. I love her. She is living the dreams of my youth. And can she write.
If there is the smallest amount of science fiction interest in your past, read her entire article. I remember watching Sputnik orbit high above N.A.D. Fallbrook, as my dad stopped in the darkness to let me watch it go over. I remember my dreams, and my eyes tear with joy as I read Ansari's missives from space. Every one of her blog entries will speak directly to your heart, and lead your mind to the stars.
Please take a moment and read her entire posting, you will be lifted.

Goodbye Star City / My Speech: "Today the ending of one of the best chapters of my life was being written. I flew to Moscow on the 16th of October and arrived on the 17th. It was a difficult trip for me because I had to leave my grandmother who wasn’t feeling well to go on this trip. I was nervous the entire flight and Hamid who was accompanying me kept talking to me and trying to calm me down. The reason for my trip was to attend the official welcome back ceremony. Because of my request, the Russian Space Agency had broken tradition to accommodate my schedule and was holding this event two days earlier, so I could not miss it."

Good morning.
This is just an offer of help. ... We can use our mobil telephones that are capable of capturing little videos and post them on the class websites. Here is a little one that I took a few minutes ago, and uploaded to YouTube. ... You will get the gist of the idea by playing the little video.

I sent an invitation to everyone in all the classes to join an Editorial email list, where we will learn how to post our own stories to the websites. We had several people join. Polly Hunter Hire, from the class of 1964, sent this email to the editorial email list. I took her email and wrapped this little preface, along with a flower that Polly liked and made this little presentation. ... Interesting all together is it not? Jack
Jack,
I joined the new list because I am interested in reading about the lives of classmates from FUHS. Nothing fascinates me more than learning about the challenges we've faced and where we are in our journeys. Being one of the military "Brats" meant that FUHS was one of three high schools I attended; but it meant more to me in every way because of the friends, teachers, and experiences I had while there. I am so grateful for having been there, and for the friendships that continue to this day. There are so many people whose stories I don't know; where did they go after graduation from FUHS? I know nothing about blogs or tools...I just wanted to be part of the conversation...
Polly
Because Polly is from the class of 1964, I posted this to the class of 1964. And because it is of multi-class interest, I posted it to the ClassAnnual home page.

The last posting about the "BRATS - Our Journey Home" movie before the event. ... We have had one person say that they have seen the film. Here is what Julie has to say about the film.
Hi Jack,
I purchased this DVD at my ISB reunion last month and it is so wonderful I can't describe it.
I found so many similarities it blew me away. I discovered I AM NORMAL!!!! Or as normal as can be.
Have a great time and have a java for me too.
Thanks,
Julie
There have been a few people that voiced interest in seeing the movie, and meeting beforehand, so I have made reservations at ...
5:30pm Friday the 29th
The Longboarder Cafe
228 North Coast Highway
Oceanside, CA, 92054
Right now, the reservations are for four people, so please R.S.V.P. by clicking on this email address ijak@mac.com, or call me at 619 218 2929. I'll see you there!
Location is, they say, everything, and the Longboarder Cafe has it in spades. Straight up from the Oceanside Pier and right across the street from the California Surf Museum (and the very pretty Oceanside City Hall, too) the corner cafe does a brisk trade in breakfast and lunch fare best described as Southern Californian. Omelets bursting with avocado and sprouts, south of the border egg dishes, "scrambles" of eggs and fresh veggies lead into fish tacos, wraps and huge leafy salads.
