Why?

The main reason to donate is to help support these websites.

Why you? Not particularly you, but if you can afford to donate, please do. The sites need money to be maintained.

Why a donation instead of a charge? I do not want to charge for the websites because the websites could not get as many friends together as we do. And we still need to get support for the websites some way.

Why not advertise? Advertising on all the pages is not condusive to the free exchange of ideas. So we need your support.

The mission of the class websites.

The class website/email combinations are intended to accomplish separate tasks, but work in concert.

The email lists are meant to facilitate communication among all class members. No fee required to connect with old friends.

The websites have two main functions. One function is as a place to share information about reunions and other class member gatherings anywhere.

The second, and I think the most important reason for the class websites, is that the websites become a repository of our collective history. Our history from the time we became conscious until we pass away. In reality, I would like the collection of class histories to grow from now on, growing into a living history of Fallbrook H.S., and all the class members.

A little history and explanation of growth.

I started the Fallbrook64 website because I wanted to reconnect with my friends from High School. There was no other reason than that. I wanted to reconnect. I tried the other systems where you must pay before you connect with anyone. I hated those kinds of sites filled with ads that they make you join to see anything. I found them wanting, so I created my own.

Then, as the class of '64 website developed, and I added the email list for the class, communication exploded and we were chatting way beyond my initial dreams. Everyone we connected with was a member. We were really talking again.

Kermit and I started the website/email list two years befog our 40th reunion. I had the web know-how, and Kermit had the initial class list, and Kermit did most of the searching for members. We were fairly successful. The class of 1964 had 196 graduating members. At our 40th reunion, we saw 108 members of our class over the three days. That was an incredible percentage of class members after 40 years. The combination website, and email list, was amazing. Our 40th reunion was not the normal reunion. We had explored and reconnected our pasts through our website and email connections. The reunion was just a party of friends.

But, ClassAnnual has grown beyond the initial class of 1964. Now we have ten active classes from theree schools. I think that is great!

Where do we go from here?

I have set up connections for all classes between 1960 and 2010, and will add a new year, every year they become Freshmen. If you want any other classes, let me know and we will set up a set for those classes as well. Over the next year, I would like to reconnect at least five more classes. I figure that will bring us to 1500 members, as the following classes have a larger membership. Eventually, I want every single class from Fallbrook High connected through our sites.
