Fish-processing duo not like rest of guys on docks

SafariScreenSnapz001.jpg

Bring in a fresh-caught albacore, and Sarah Saraspe (right) and Melanie Neri will return fillets or smoked fish to take home.

This is just an excerpt of the Union Tribs article on Sarah, Melanie, and their business. Read the entire article by clicking on the image, or the link to the story, just below the excerpt. Also, there is a link to Sarah's business at the bottom of the excerpt! — Jack

By Ed Zieralski UNION-TRIBUNE STAFF WRITER July 5, 2008

ED ZIERALSKI / Union-Tribune Bring in a fresh-caught albacore, and Sarah Saraspe (right) and Melanie Neri will return fillets or smoked fish to take home. It took a spell for Sarah Saraspe and Melanie Neri to get accepted in the mostly male world of sportfishing, but their Five Star Fish Processing, now in its fifth year of processing fish for anglers, has filleted a niche. That was a couple of fishing visitors from Arizona yesterday, in a hurry to get home for Fourth of July fireworks, waiting for the albacore they caught on the Pacific Queen's 1½ -day trip. The men faced some long stretches of asphalt and had a bunch of fish that needed to be vacuum-packed and iced for the drive across the desert.

A Day in Pacific Beach

PBcollection.jpg

A Day in Pacific Beach

This was just one day in Pacific Beach.

The composite image you see to the right links to the gallery of those images. When you get to the gallery, there are three different sizes of images. The thumbnail is one size, but if you click on the thumbnail you will se an image that is 640 pixels in its largest dimension. But, if you click on that image, you will get an image that is 1280 pixels on its largest dimension. ... The largest size is great for a desktop picture on your computer!

There are many views of things I thought interesting around town that day. ...

What are you interested in? ...

If you send a request to the list (Sdmbay1989@classannual.com) for some images around town, I will do my best to go out and find them for you. ... I live in Clairemont and go to P.B. at least a couple times a week.

If you click on this link - Search Jax Galleries for PB - You will get a page with all my photo galleries that have images of Pacific Beach. It is a dynamic search, so it will take longer than a normal webpage to load. ... But, being a dynamic search, every time I add a new gallery with more Pacific Beach images, they will also be returned!

Mission Bay High School - Via Google Maps

A cool Google map.

I just thought this would be something that looked more like Mission Bay H.S.
